Welcome to GhostHunts. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use GhostHunts.

By creating an account or using any part of the GhostHunts service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and GhostHunts.

Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information at registration and keep it current. GhostHunts may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for fraudulent purposes.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you post to GhostHunts. By posting content, you grant GhostHunts a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating the platform. You are solely responsible for content you submit. You must not post content that:

• Infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Contains false, defamatory, or misleading information
• Harasses, threatens, or endangers other users
• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Contains malware, spam, or unsolicited promotional material

Community Guidelines

GhostHunts is a community for legitimate paranormal investigation enthusiasts. All users must treat other community members with respect. Impersonation, coordinated harassment, and manipulation of engagement metrics are prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.

Safety Disclaimer

Ghost hunting involves real-world physical activity, often in unfamiliar or structurally compromised locations, sometimes at night. GhostHunts provides organizational and community tools only. We do not organize, verify the safety of, or supervise any investigation. You participate in all hunts at your own risk. GhostHunts strongly recommends:

• Meeting new partners in a public place before any investigation
• Sharing your plans with someone not attending
• Verifying that you have permission to enter any location
• Carrying appropriate safety equipment

Venue Subscriptions and Billing

Certain features, including the ability to post ticketed events, require an active venue subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize GhostHunts to charge your payment method for all applicable fees. Subscriptions may be canceled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. GhostHunts does not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

Intellectual Property

GhostHunts and its licensors own all rights to the platform's software, design, trademarks, and original content. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the platform without prior written consent from GhostHunts.

Privacy

Your use of GhostHunts is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Termination

GhostHunts may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

Disclaimers

GhostHunts is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that any content on the platform is accurate, complete, or reliable.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GhostHunts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including personal injury, loss of data, or property damage arising from your use of the platform or participation in any hunt, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial and to participate only in individual proceedings, not class actions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of GhostHunts after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
