- Account data: username, email address, hashed password, experience level, and optional profile information (bio, city, state, avatar, gear list).
- Content: evidence posts, comments, location board entries, partner requests, and event listings you create.
- Activity data: upvotes, follows, event click-throughs, and feed interactions.
- Billing data: payment method details processed by Stripe. GhostHunts does not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps — collected via server logs and standard web analytics.
- Location data: approximate geographic location, if you allow browser geolocation for the nearby feed feature.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Deliver, personalize, and improve the GhostHunts platform
- Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, activity alerts)
- Process subscription payments and manage billing
- Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
